🐾 Circle of Life Private Dog Park – Member Rules & Guidelines

Welcome to Circle of Life Private Dog Park & Green Burial Sanctuary, a private, members-only dog park dedicated to safety, harmony, and responsible enjoyment. Membership is a privilege, not a right, and requires adherence to the following rules to ensure the wellbeing of all members—both two-legged and four-legged.

1. Membership & Evaluation

• All applicants must complete a two-part evaluation with Dr. Finn:
1. Park Walk-Through with their dog to assess behavior in a natural setting.
2. Sit-Down Interview to review temperament, training, and owner responsibilities.
• This evaluation is a fee-based service and does not guarantee membership approval.
• Dogs showing signs of aggression, reactivity, or poor social skills may be denied membership.

2. Health & Vaccination

• Proof of puppy or adulthood vaccinations (distemper, parvo) must be submitted before entry.
• Proof of Current Rabies vaccination or Positive Rabies Titer must be submitted before entry.
• Spaying and Neutering are Not required, though females in heat are not permitted.
• Dogs must have a current flea, tick, and parasite prevention program.
• Dogs in heat, ill, or recovering from contagious illness are not permitted.

3. Behavior & Owner Responsibility

• Owners are 100% responsible for their dog’s behavior at all times.
• No aggressive dogs allowed. First incident = suspension or termination of membership.
• Dogs must be on leash on Park On-leash days or under voice control and respond reliably to recall on Park off leash days.
• Excessive barking, bullying, or disruptive behavior may result in removal from the park.

4. Safety & Conduct

• No outside balls allowed inside the park (to prevent guarding issues).
• Members may bring personal snacks and their dog’s own treats, but must not drop food, share with other dogs, or leave waste behind. Carelessness with food that creates conflict or health risks will not be tolerated.

• Members must Never feed or approach Dr Finn’s two horses, which are sometimes free on the property. The horses are well‑behaved and ignore dogs and people, They must be treated with respect and left undisturbed.

• Children under 17 are not permitted.
• Owners may not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs while on park premises.
• Owners must pick up after their dogs immediately and dispose of waste properly.

5. Park Use & Hours

• Dogs must be leashed when entering and exiting the park

• Park hours are Monday thru Saturday with Private Reservations Only on Sundays

• Seasonal hours are: February thru October 10 am-6 pm

                                                                November thru January  10am- 5pm

• Park hours are until dusk
• Park access outside those hours is strictly prohibited.

• Members must adhere to the etiquette of the day, for instance on leash days all dogs must be on leash, off leash days all dogs must be off leash
• Park is open to members only during posted hours. Unauthorized access will result in membership revocation.

• For safety, the park may also close during severe weather, high winds, or other hazardous conditions at the discretion of management.

6. Membership Agreement

• By signing the membership agreement, members acknowledge and accept:
• The risks of off-leash play.
• That the park is not liable for injuries to dogs or people.
• That membership can be revoked at any time for violations of these rules.
