World's Oldest Dog-Bobi
May 28, 2023On May 16, 2023 Bobi was officially recognized by The Guinness Book of World Records as the oldest living dog.
Bobi, a Portuguese Livestock Guardian Dog, (Rafeiro do Alentejo) lives in rural southern Portugual.
At 31 years old, Bobi is the oldest known dog.🐾💕
According to his owner, Leonel Costa, Bobi's longevity is due in large part to a calm peaceful environment.
In addition Costa credits Bobi's diet for his long healthy life.

Another key factor that Bobi has in common with previous recognized oldest dogs is constant movement. Bobi was never chained up and wandered all day every day.
Bluey the previous oldest recorded dog was a cattle dog that worked the farm all day every day, also eating whatever he found, people food, and farm scraps.
