The First Appointment – What to Expect

Please click here for our address and directions.

The clinic is in the red building.

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. This will allow your dog adequate time to relieve themselves before entering the facility. Your pet will then be checked in by the receptionist.

Dr. Finn is committed to giving each of her patients exemplary service. The first thing that Dr. Finn will do is watch your dog move. How your pet moves and stands provides a wealth of information about their true state of health. Next she will perform a comprehensive evaluation. This includes a thorough review of your pet’s history, medical records, and any pertinent radiographs.

This is followed by a complete physical and Chinese medical exam, as well as, a complete structural evaluation. This will take about an hour.

After the exam Dr. Finn will work with you to develop a Health and Treatment Plan for your dog.

Dr. Finn does not serve as a primary care veterinarian. She serves as an adjunctive integrative veterinarian blending eastern and western medicine, along with physical rehabilitation. This model of care provides the best and most complete diagnostic and therapeutic solutions for your pet. Dr. Finn strives to work together with your primary care veterinarian.

IMPORTANT: Pets should always be restrained by a leash or carrier at all times upon arrival and departure. There will be instances where there will be multiple pets in our waiting area.

Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards. We do not accept Care Credit. A returned check fee of $50 will apply to your account for each check that is returned to us unpaid.

Punctuality for Appointments

We ask that all clients arrive no more than 10 minutes before their scheduled appointment time. Your timeliness is necessary to complete a proper intake, and to allow us suitable time to provide outstanding care for your pet.

Should you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we ask that you give us 24-hours notice. This way, we have time to fill your appointment slot with another patient who may need it. A late cancellation fee of $100 will be applied to your account for last minute or same day cancellations.
